1995 was a career transition once acquiring a State of Michigan Real Estate license after 21 yrs. at a metro Detroit bank, who’s mission morphed into strictly profit, sale pitches over quality personal service and ethics. Hence, a conflict with conscience and workplace…time for a career change! Century 21 was the 1st choice then and remains mine today. Their iconic logo has changed, but not their ethos: absolute personal quality service and clients being ultimate benefactors…the exclusive goal. Whatever is necessary, via the tenets of: respect, honesty, selfless due diligence, attentive to every detail and sincere concern for each person or family.
As a Buyer Agent, often my high-heel shoes or suit get unexpectedly pretty dirtied investigating personally every nook and cranny after showing homes. I’ve met a few spiders along the way and stepped in a few things that do not smell like roses. I still love dogs! All in a day’s work.
Wearing the Seller Agent hat, is digging up and studying every tidbit of home value, providing a thorough one-on-one sit down with the Seller at their kitchen table. Regarding advanced technology tools: software spreadsheets, colorful graphs and pie charts are agent-effortless productions overused today. A Comprehensive Market Analysis should be a thoughtful hands-on in-depth research product, not a computer-generated algorithm data output accomplished in a few keystrokes at a keyboard. Like all people, I am more than “how you bring home the bacon”. I am blessed in marriage to my hubby, Michael. Besides being my life partner, Mike and I are Team O’Donnell with Century 21 AAA North. Mike has been a Realtor for 38 years, so you can guess who is the more experienced one of us two! I care for my precious widowed Mom with generous support from Mike. SS John & Paul Church in Washington, where I grew up, is our Sunday morning weekly where we praise and are nourished.
